Position Overview

As an Associate Account Executive , you will serve as the primary contact for Weis Markets to develop, secure, maintain and service new and current customers. You will be responsible for establishing customer relationship in order to maximize our presence for the customer's current and future needs.

  • This positon is based out of Weis Market's Headquarters located in Sunbury, PA.


Metrics / Key customer focus areas

  • Monitor, drive, or support established and new focus areas co-defined with Weis

  • Host and facilitate weekly Weis Merchandising, C&S Procurement, and Chain Sales meeting

  • Assemble results for focus areas, including service levels, Xi Reserve inventory, zero movement items, Unauthorized results, promotional accuracy, item maintenance

  • Capture actions and ensure teams are driving to resolutions of issues or opportunities of the actions identified

Customer support

  • Resolving or supporting resolutions directly or through C&S partners of various day-to-day customer requests. These requests can emanate from Weis groups such as warehousing, stores, operations, merchandising, finance, and I.T.

  • Daily engagement with C&S Customer Service to ensure requests such as shortages, damages, delayed orders, delivery queries sent to the incumbent by Weis are passed to the appropriate C&S partners for resolution

  • Supporting special events such as business continuity planning, business expansion tasks, analysis, and reporting

  • Problem inventory resolution

  • Partner, support, or facilitate problem inventory resolution including dead, excess, promotional leftover, and unsold shippers/mods.

  • Incumbent will monitor reports and engage with C&S procurement and the Weis merchandising teams

Support of Headquarters Account Executives, Senior Director Sales, and Vice President Sales

  • General support of the Account Executives on daily activities such as analytics, research, reports, direct customer engagement (face-to-face), and communications. The Associate Account Executive will also support the sales management team for budgeting, business review preparation, setting customer meetings, and general communications

  • Support the various C&S and Weis teams on creating, enhancing, and monitoring established processes under the direction of the C&S Headquarters Account Executives and sales management

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Three or more years of succesful relevant business experience

  • Knowledge of procurement and merchandising; inventory and supply chain aspects of a food retailer with a grocery wholesaling background preferred

  • Ability to communicate, influence, negotiates and interaction with all levels personnel

  • Excellent communication skill both oral and written, superb time management, strong team player problem resolution capabilities, retail/sales/inventory analytics and strong ability to build rapport with customer and co-workers in a fast-paced high productivity, deadline driven work environment

  • Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Office Applications

  • Have the ability to work Flexible Hours outside the traditional work schedule, including occasional weekend requirements
