As a Merchandising Analyst, your role is to negotiate gross profit opportunities and sales programs with the vendor community.
Negotiate gross profit buying opportunities with vendors (buys/slotting/DPS/etc.) while maximizing bill out inventory profit (last buys before increases/bracket buys/alternate sourcing).
Negotiate and execute promotional merchandising programs with vendor (ads/food show/block buys) including national merchandising.
Manage proper execution of reconciliation of vendor incentives (quarterly, monthly, prepay, OI) in order to ensure accuracy and proper timeliness from vendor community.
Setup and maintain item and vendor data integrity (pricing/item accuracy/item changes/item assortment/category marketing info/lost margin resolution)
Study and anticipate commodity changes to maximize revenue.
Assist vendors and buyers with dead and excess inventory resolution.
Interface with outside C&S departments as well as retail customers for resolutions, IMS-Vendor relations, and Prompt- AVS resolutions.
Division representative for specific weekly company conference calls.
Food-show coordinator; Merchandising key account contact / other retail contact.
Vendor trade relations coordinator; candy program planning; trainer for C&S personnel.
Manage sales and gross profit in the supplies/not for resale (NFR) area for C&S’ independent and chain customers.
Leverage Scale to deliver Cost efficiencies and operational excellence by Interview vendors, new and existing, negotiate price and incentive programs. This position has responsibility of gross profit as well as the sales strategy to our retailers.
Protect and grow our heritage in chains & Win with Independents through engagement with existing customers for new items, problems and solutions. Our retailers rely on this specialist to attain their goals for packaging of products at store level
Protect and grow our heritage in chains & Win with Independents--Call on new customers selling the total supply program. Formulate strategy when engaged with a new customer to sell C&S program and support.
Leverage Scale to deliver Cost efficiencies and operational excellence--Monitor and review price plans monthly for correct bill out and profit, to ensure our profit goals and that our retailers have the most competitive costs
Review budget quarterly to monitor budget vs actuals. Understand fluctuations based on market conditions and react accordingly.
Prepare presentations to new customers and work with retail account managers to attain new business company- wide or retain business when in jeopardy.
Continually elevate the customer experience through facilitating customer calls on supply issues and also occasional supply orders to service their needs.
Review pricing and sign off on monthly supply guides used by our retailers to understand our selection and pricing structure.
In-store; or distributor Supplies experience
Food Show sales in supply booth company wide.
Monitor issues on quality of supply mix.
Coordinate and decide to auction items through buying group or company sourcing group.
