Position Overview

As a Chain Sales Account Executive , you will manage the relationship between C&S Wholesale Grocers and Target by coordinating and integrating C&S and the assigned customer's business strategies to achieve maximum sales and profitability for both C&S and the customer.


  • Develop process, procedures and programs that will drive sales growth and reduce expenses for C&S and the assigned retail customer.

  • Work with all levels of management to identify, create and influence programs that will result in profitable growth and reduced expenses.

  • Understand and manage associated budgets and identify opportunities to improves profits.

  • Work closely with customer to resolve, track and measure inventory issues, such as Excess Ad Inventory, Discontinued Inventory, Dead and Excess Inventory, Short Coded Inventory, and slow movers.

  • Coordinate regular weekly meetings with customer's senior team to provide business updates on sales, gross profits, service levels, inventory results and ad performance.

  • Assist C&S and retail customer in budgeting process by having a thorough understanding of case movement and provide insight and feedback on current and future trends.

  • Continually review and identify opportunities to modify, automate, and streamline existing business processes to find more efficient and effective ways for both organizations to meet their business objectives.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • Three or more years' experience in similar role.

  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Analytical skills are crucial.

  • Strong written, oral, interpersonal, and team playing skills.

  • Ability to communicate, influence, negotiate and interact with all levels of management.
