A Retail Account Manager will maintain the customer relationship to maximize opportunities for both the retailer & C&S, increase market share and maximize profitability with assigned retailers, and expand base business sales through new business account growth.
Maximize sales with existing customers, using the C&S programs combined with the RAM's individual knowledge and experience in both retail and wholesale to increase sales and gross profits.
Source additional customer base and new business growth development within the assigned region.
Increase Market Share & Market Presence with assigned retailers through one, three, or five year marketing business plans or as designed by the customer, coordinating with various C&S departments to help enhance the customer experience.
Conduct business reviews, evaluation and analysis of sales trends and opportunities and development of proposals in conjunction with various C&S departments to capture missing sales.
Maintain the customer relationship to maximize opportunities for both the retailer & C&S.
Travel to include individual and chain store visits and weekly, bi- weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually.
Assist Independent owners with total remodels to include floor plan development, merchandising development and marketing/ promotional development along with equipment and technology needs as required.
Increase departmental sales through Category Management product flow changes adjustments- resets - retags. Coordinate store re-sets and new item procurement and placement for the retailers.
Build working relationships with C&S regional staff and retailers to maximize operational efficiencies.
Assist in resolving credit and operational issues among assigned retailers across all departments, nonperishable & perishable.
Counsel retailers on the control of operating expenses through P&L analysis, including payroll, inventory control, utilities, capital expenditures, labor and gross profit.
Five plus years of sales and/or account management experience for grocery retail
Experience in Wholesale a plus
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Bilingual, Spanish a plus
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Flexibility in travel with the ability to be away for up to two weeks on a limited basis
