Position Overview

As a Utility , you will fill in for any position in the warehouse including, but not limited to: Clerk, Forklift Operator, Selector, Backhauler, and Porter.

Responsibilities

  • Maneuvering through the warehouse operating a motorized pallet jack performing duties ranging from the following:

  • Repacker: selecting cases of groceries from an order sheet, palletizing cases and manually shrink wrapping them, delivering them to the appropriate dock doors to be loaded

  • Sweeper: taking completed pallets from staging areas to appropriate dock doors throughout the warehouse for loading

  • Sanitation: cleaning/maintaining warehouse aisles and product pick slots, increasing selector efficiency by facing product and removing shrink wrap

  • Overages, Shortages & Damages: managing the disposition of damaged/returned product and repacking over-shipments and damaged product that are salvageable

Qualifications

Physical Requirements: You will be constantly standing, walking, riding, carrying, twisting, bending, balancing, seeing, hearing, and handling paperwork. You will always be lifting objects weighing from less than 20 lbs. to 60 lbs. And occasionally you will be pushing, sitting, touching, reaching, climbing, pulling, and gripping!

  • GED, High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • Ability to operate pallet jack and other required materials handling equipment (MHE)

  • Ability to operate battery hoist

  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures

  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
